Custom Jetfire 1/200 scale super posable

I took one of my 1/200 scale Macross models of Roy's Super Valk, and made Jetfire the transformer. I cobbled the ball joints and sockets and a few other joint pieces and hacked the crap outta the Valk to get this, a 3 inch tall super posable jetfire. It's got ball jointed hips and shoulders, knee articulation, swivel arms and right wrist, swivel waist, a quasi ball jointed kneck using a pin and sticky tack, and movable wings.

I got a Gundam Maxter kit...1/144 i think, the normal size for them, not 1/100. I used the gray soft plastic ball joint sockets, and took the balls and stalks from the shoulder and ankle joints on the kit and placed them in the shoulders and hips of my Jetfire. There was some dificualty here, and I had to shave down the sove of the socket and the cavity for the hip...the left one's got a tiny tad bit too much socket removed,a dn falls of at extreme angles. An I put the balls in the hip/waist piece, and the sockets in the legs. For the shoulders, i put the soctets on the torso, adn the balls in the arms....and had to fill the enite torso with epoxy for support. The knees are pretty franken hacked..... i thook one of the gundam knee double jopinted pieces, and spilit it down the middle, leaving two thin pieces. I then hacked out the knee assembly from the fig,a dn ma handled it into the lower leg i seperated from the Jetifer fig. its single jointed now, but still works real nice. the swivel arms are rotation rings from anotehr randon Jap. kit, and plastic srpue for the rods. the waist is the same. the wings i just shaved down the body part and mounted with pins, so they are kinda adjustable. the head i drilled out the neck part and mounted a pin in the body, and put a bead of sticky tack in the head acavity,a dn it works real well. the right wrist is the same as the arms and waist too.
